Sixty years ago the film La Dolce Vita was presented in Cannes, creating a motto that since then has embodied the charm of the Italian lifestyle. The Dressing Screen Italian Summer allows us to experience this charm, no passport required, as they take us on a virtual – and shoppable – journey through the exclusive boutiques of Italy’s most iconic hotels.
The selection of clothing, food and home goods available through this digital window pay tribute to the luxury craftsmanship, exquisite food and captivating fashion that Italy has to offer, enriched with style tips and anecdotes from Italian tastemakers and personalities. The project is launched under the curation of Allison Hoeltzel Savini, fashion director for TDS Italian Summer and founder of the brand Officina del Poggio, and offers a unique summer holiday edit of typical products from each region.
Following last year’s journey Behind The Dressing Screen, in which TDS ambassador Helen Nonini took the TDS community on a virtual tour to discover people and places of some of the most beautiful Italian cities, TDS continues to promote the beauty of Italy with these virtual vacation pop-ups to reveal the best of what the shops and hotels have to offer, making them accessible worldwide, especially to those who, during this Covid emergency, might not be able to travel this summer.
Throughout this tour, TDS will continue to donate 5% of sales to the scientific research of the Milanese Institute of Pharmacological Research Mario Negri, which TDS has been supporting through donations for the past year.
